And the sizeturned out to be perfect for my 12'x12' living room (I originally thought about 42' and 40' TV). Samsung seems a bit too bright for me. We looked a few brands of TV, Vizio, Samsung, and Sony. We found that Sony has the best picture quality, that is, more realistic color and undistorted details. we are happy with it.
Now where to buy the tv. We looked at many tv's at all the typical stores and finally decided on Sony, as we have always had good lcuk with Sony. I am extremely happy with my decision. Checked all around, watched Amazon for several weeks, noticed the price dropping and kept watching.
Remember it is still an improvement over the CRT that you are upgrading from. I was very reluctant to buy, as I wanted an excellent TV for a great price. I would do this over again. Then the resolution. Finally got to my price point and I bought.
Had to be 1080p right, wrong. The 1080 signals come in great in on the 720.
Next week the price went up by $150. Amazon delivered, arrived perfect and they set it up.
It is AWESOME. I had looked for a long time for an HD LCD TV.
You don't have to have the highest resolution all the time. Then the big question, what size and what resolution.
We took measurements and decided 37" was just right for our room. Now for the TV in the family room.
Quick delivery, excellent product. I like the fact that I can hook my laptop up to this TV and get HD quality internet broadcasting.
This Sony Bravia 37" HDTV is picture perfect right out of the box. The delivery was early and set up was friendly and fast.
The two gentlemen who delivered the TV were very polite and hooked up our new TV with our new DVD/VHS recorder, with little fanfare, at no additional charge (but, of course, we did give them a nice tip). We ordered a TV from amazon.com and were amazed at the service and the speedy delivery, with a phone call to set up the date for the delivery. I didn't give the item a 5-star review because we haven't yet gotten our HD service, so I can't fairly rate the picture until that is in place. Thanks, amazonA
