I just recently got this radio and so far have been happy with it. It's easy to work and the clock is great to keep you on schedule.
It gets great reception in my shower. Shower radio is awesome. I love the fact it is digital and offers, TV/Weather Band features on it also.
I finally got around to ordering the second one recently. By the way.we are still using the original batteries that we put in the first one a year ago. and it is used every day. We bought our first Sony Shower Radio in September, 2007. Right from the start we enjoyed the sound and clarity of the broadcasts and knew we wanted another one. It's a great little radio.
I recomend this product. NONE HAVE WORKED AS WELL AS THIS ONE. It worked great. I highly recomend this little radio. We took it with us on vacation and down to the beach with us. It easily goes where you go. It is worth the money, I only wish that it came with an adptor so we could plug it in.
Guess I'll just have to buy one. I have gotten several radios for the bathroom. I found the best price on Amazon for this radio. This is a small radio with a big sound. The reception is great. Thanks.
Reception is excellent and better than some of the more expensive radios in my house. It goes forever on a set of batteries.
It has a clever suction cup aerial that sticks to shower tile well. The controls are simple and I particularly like the timer function, so I don't need to worry about turning it off.
I very rarely write reviews but I love this radio so much I felt inspired. I also like that this isn't equipped with a CD player, which would add bulk for a questionable extra function.The white plastic has yellowed over time (four years)., and the top control panel membrane has deteriorated slightly, but it's still going strong.
(Actually I own the S79V, but it seems to be identical to this one). It is simply the perfect shower radio.
I purchased a replacement just to have a spare handy should I need one and find that Sony has stopped making these gems.
