User Comments about the Samsung DVD-V9800 DVD/VCR Combo

It wont read any dvds I put in. Unfortunately I threw away my warranty so I have little recourse. One month after buying this product, and after playing dvd's for approximately four hours, I can no longer play dvd's on it. I would rate this product zero stars were that option available.

TO HOOK TO A CABLE ONLY.NO COXAIL PLUG DUMB. THEY MADE THIS COMBO WITH > NO< TV TUNERSO HOW CAN YOU WATCH TV AND RECORD ANOTHER SHOW.AND IT NEEDS. THIS IS JUNK.

This product does what it advertises for a great price, it's easy to setup and easy to use

I highly recommend it. This is an excellent product and one that is increasingly more difficult to find. It saved me space in my entertainment cabinet.

I have had the unit for about 1 month and so far it seems to be working as expected. I did notice some of what seemed like compression noise but I have not had the time to fully investigate. After having done many searches looking for a combo upscanning player, I kept coming back to the Samsung as having a strong brand reputation, all the features you might want at a price point that is well below the other choices out there. All I can say is watching a DVD movie on my 42 inch LCD at 1080i was a very nice experience.
