Sure the new iphone is cheaper, but you have to sign a 2 yr. contract where its $90 a month, that's $2160. The ipod touch is the best piece of equipment I have. Where as the ipod is $400-$530 depending on where you buy it from and that's it. I suggest getting a phone from verizon then getting the ipod touch. It does everything the iphone dose, just without the high monthly bill the iphone has. Its like having a computer in my pocket.

Loving the wireless and watching movies while I'm going to and from work. If you're finding the gadget to expensive then I'd definately recommend http://saving-money.isgreat.org. Only disadvantage was the price, but since I was told about http://saving-money.isgreat.org where I got one for completing a simple offer I've been really pleased with my touch. Just complete a free or cheap offer and refer some friends to do the same.
Between the navigation maps to the movies to the games to the music, he hasn't run out of things to do yet (which is saying something for a techie guy like him). I got this for my boyfriend and he can't stop playing with it. I'd spend the extra few bucks to buy it straight from apple so you get the tech support, but that's just me.
Easy to use, multi-functional, big enough and small enough at the same time. Totally LOVE this quality item from Apple. Love the fact I can check emails when connected to wi-fi, I can load pics I used to carry in my wallet, it has my calendar and contact list readily available, AND I have my choice of music or videos (especially when I travel, which is quite often).
