The seller sent an e-mail that he mailed the HDMI Cable but it has not shown up yet. The player works fine.Ed Ostroff
I like this unit very much, It also Upconverts DVD. It's a shame they discontinued HD DVD, because they have great clarity and good performance.I own this HD DVD player and a Playstation 3, which I use to play Blue Ray movies and seriously, I can't tell the difference.
Have had no problems with playing disc's whatsoever. Even plays my old DVD+R disc's. Picked 2 of these up at Sams Club for $68.00 each. Standard DVD's look terrific and as soon as I upgrade to HDMI on my TV I will see what the upconversion looks like. Unit will not upconvert through the component output's. With the free cable and 2 HD movies they pretty much gave me the player. No regrets yet.
IF YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION GO TO GOOGLE AND TYPE BLUE RAY WON, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HD DVD, TOSHIBA ANNOUNCE RETIRE ALL THEIR PRODUCTION.
I should have known better than to spend my cash before the format war ended.Toshiba has announced that they are getting out of the next generation DVD player business. I made the mistake of buying one of these for Christmas, only to have Toshiba and the rest of the industry declare the HD format dead weeks later.What a waste of money for myself and the others who poured cash down the HD-DVD money drain. Get a conventional DVD player or a Blu-Ray, not one of these dogs.
