Luckily, I stumbled on the Marantz. Music sounds great, with a warm full sound.

What a difference. This receiver has a very sweet sound.

I first purchased an Onkyo 705. Home theater is awesome too.

The Onkyo was very user friendly, and also had a few more bells and whistles. But I returned it because I was not happy with the "tinny" sound.

I love it.

Rock, pop, classical, this amp handles them all in style. The SR5002 does what it is supposed to do, it has all the features you need, and sounds great whatever format you use. I'm on my second Marantz amp because I upgraded from the 4000 series. I use mine for CDs, DVDs and Apple TV. B&W speakers complement this amp perfectly. I like the Marantz as it has a 'warm' sound, as opposed to, for example, a Rotel which is a superb amp but too 'clinical' for my ears. For the price, a great amp.
