Editorial Reviews:

Here's a balanced combination of the performance you deserve and a price that will ease your way to the highest levels of home entertainment. Performance addicted? Just call this Marantz your enabler. The SR7002 opens up the home entertainment horizon for the most demanding yet cost-conscious customers out there. You can connect up to four HDMI equipped sources to the SR7002. Direct the one you want to your display and to the SR7002's built-in surround sound processor. Unlike earlier HDMI connections, these handle multi-channel sound with ease. The SR7002 comes complete with format conversion lets you watch older videos through the super-convenient HDMI format. You won't have any problem fitting all this capability into your home either. The SR7002 is housed in a new, compact chassis that will fit more easily into even the tightest spaces.

User Comments about the Marantz SR7002 - AV receiver - 7.1 channel - black

There Is no other. Believe me you will appreciate It and be one happy Individual If you can afford It or wait until you can. God why 35% of people would get the Onkyo or any other Receiver Is beyond reason-OR just their pocket book because IF you can afford It "The Marantz" Is the only way to go for truely REALsound. It has a lot of inputs and outputs, many digital (both optical and coaxial audio inputs), a bunch of component, composite, s-vide inputas. It also has the upscaling feature through HDMI output. The sound quality is impressive. The user can also program which digital or analog inputs / outputs will be used for each device connected to the system. I've just bought this receiver and it's quality is excellent. Cons.: Only one: It generates a lot of heat (power consumption of 750W)
