I plugged it in, called XM to switch receivers only to find out that unless I purchase the special adapters, this receiver will not work. The Sureconnect adpter runs additonal wires and the dealer told me that I would be back because of the poor reception, or FM switch box that connects to the back of the radio.
It will not "plug & play".ugh. So, I went to my local audio dealer to understand the differences between the two options.
I cannot rate the product because I cannot use the product. I am now talking about installation.
The ad forgot to say that this product CANNOT work properly without additonal stuff. I purchased this product as a replacement for an earlier model that I purchased 3 or 4 years ago for the same vehicle that I had 3 or 4 years ago.
The plug and play only works if you radio has the input line on the front panel.UGH.
Very easy to operate & great features. This is everything I hoped it would be. I especially like the artist alert, it will inform you whenever one of your favorite artists or songs are playing on another channel.
stock quotes a big plus. favorite artist feature should be available in all satellite receivers. display is easy to read and can be formatted in multiple ways. easy to install in a car (and even move to other cars). very simple to use. antenna smaller and better than my old one.i would highly recommend for any road trips.
Nice product but the remote control is very difficult to handle while you are driving. the importatn buttons should have a different shape or texture.
I asked Amazon Customer "No" Service to contact the vendor on my behalf. They won't do this. I had researched the products on other sites, and found good information and the best price here. I just need someone to handle the simple customer service issue here. So, I attempted to locate NYC Electronics. Watch what you buy through Amazon. Not found.
They replied by instructing me to contact the vendor, NYC Electronics. Amazon Customer "No" Service asked that I return the product. I just spent money on the professional installation so this was not an option. I recently purchased the Audiovox Xpress R, along with the FM Modulator and home kit from Amazon.com. Unfortunately, there was no link to secure this contact. Unfortunately, after I received the product and had it professionally installed (as recommended) I noted that the swivel car mount was broken. I immediately sent an email to Amazon Customer "No" Service explaining the issue.
Appear to be a good company with great prices and product, but NO customer Service.
