The battery life is amazing. I just needed a simple player for my daily commute on public transit and for my outdoor walks. I love this player. It fits my needs perfectly because I just want something to play music. I've been very satisfied with my purchase.
Worth the extra cost. Recommend the 8GB version. Unit is excellent and exceeds my expectations (both engineering and operation)
I have had 3 of the Creative Zens and really liked the price point but overall they lacked luster. They were compact and handy and for the money did not mind if I lost one. In fact in the next few weeks I think I will buy the 16gb one. I did a lot of reseach before deciding on this player. The fact that it has a hold button on it that prevents the keys from being used is a major plus, as the Creative did not have that and I was forever putting in my pocket and getting the keys pressed and having to pull it out to make adjustments--and now that is a thing of the past with this Sony. The sound is so much better than either the Creative Zen or the IPOD. My only regret is that I wish I had bought one that would hold all my music and books. It is super easy.
I also love the color screen which my IPOD and the Creative did not have. Then it died. I love that the screen is easy to read without having to put glasses on to see it. But don't get me wrong it is a small price to pay for all the other features this little sony has.It is just an amazing little player and well worth the money. The one thing that I do miss about the IPOD is the navigation wheel, it was so much easier and quicker than the sony. Let me tell you that even if you are technically challenged you can still install and set up this little beauty. I have had this little sony MP3 player for almost three weeks and I really love it.
So I have switched to the Sony. I like to have one player exclusivly for books and I use one for music. Then I had an Apple IPod which I loved everything about it except that you had to use ITunes exclusivly for music and could never get the books to play on it. My husband also liked mine so well that he wants to get one too and give up his Creative Zen player too.
It's held all the music I've put on it so far (well over 12 hours worth of music), the radio reception is great, and it's so lightweight I hardly know it's there. My only complaint would be the earphones that came with the player are way too big to fit in my ears-- luckily the headphones I have from my previous mp3 player are great and work well with this player. I'm very happy with my Sony 4 gb mp3 player. Keep an eye out for sales in stores before purchasing on the internet-- I purchased this player on sale, and found it a couple days later for sale in Walmart for a couple dollars less than what I paid.
Lots of storage, holds playlists, sincs up with windows media player and doesn't add the same song twice. Otherwise, it's a great mp3 player. I bought this player to watch videos, but had some trouble converting to the mp4 format required. I've gotten the vids to play, but sometimes the picture and the sound don't quite match up. It's worth it.
