If HDMI 1.3 matters to you (you will need an HDMI 1.3 screen and receiver), the make sure that you get the 95 model. This model operates reasonably quickly for a Blu-Ray machine, although it is slower than conventional DVD players. This is an excellent player that provides outstanding pictures quality. The unit looks great, the remote is well designed, and the sound quality through my Pioneer Elite receiver is excellent. Pioneer Elite products have a two-year warranty. It was rated the #1 Blu-Ray player in a recent Consumer Reports. Highly recommend.
We have a better than the theater viewing experience and our neighbors are blown away. I have this unit connect to a Sharp Aquos LC52D92U 52" LCD HDTV and an Onkyo TX-SR605 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver. Could not be happier.
I bought this DVD on july after seeing it at best buy and it was out of stock and a 100$ more expensive than amazon, its picturs quality is great but its sound is superb i have a Halcro Dm10 and DM88 along with Grande Utopia and the sound on TOTO was fantastic, even my normal DVDs sound better and look better, however i astonished that they are having the 95 one out in October I would wait for it cause it supports 1.3 HDMI and also bitstream sound on all formats Dolby Tue HD and DTS HD as well,do not know if there is a firmware upgrade for my 94 model to support all this will wait and see.
