I told my friend to by it and he did for about $25 cheaper from Amazon. I just wish I would have gotten the price that it is now. I love the product. My timing was off by 1 month.
My only complaint is that it takes forever to load a movie. The price was right and the picture is great. This being my first experience with a blu-ray player I don't know if this is a common problem.
Sony replaced Disc Drive & updated firmware 2.20 to 3.90. I have been using the repaired unit since June '08 and guess what. Purchased a BDP-S3 NEW on Oct 14, 2007. It has locked up for a second time. I will choose not to spend $50.00 to package, insure and ship back to Sony for it's second warranty repair. It locked up and was sent in for warranty repair on 6/10/08. Do NOT Buy this product, You will BE sorry.
Have had for a week now, not sure I see an obvious difference in blue ray movies, sorry, not sure I see the hype but this works great
the quality is great , sound is good, it takes a little while to load up. this is something that u get what you pay for. but why shouldn;t it , it;s blu ray and you cant beat the price for a sony
