Editorial Reviews:

The built-in Music Port allows you to easily connect your compatible portable audio player and listen to music from your portable player through your mini system's sweet sound system. And this system comes with Panasonic's convenient Universal Dock for iPod, for easy playback and recharge. The built-in CD player features a number of functions so you can play music the way you want. You can listen to songs on a CD at random or program the SC-EN37 to play tracks in a specific order. The music doesn't have to end when all your CDs are played out. Pop a couple tapes into the dual feather-touch cassette decks or tune into your favorite station with the digital synthesizer FM/AM tuner. Save up to 30 of your favorite stations using the preset memory and call them up later. The random play feature selects songs on your CDs at random for variety during playback.Park yourself in a comfortable chair and stay there thanks to the included full function remote control. The backlit LCD display makes it easy to see disc and track info from a distance.Take a midday snooze without oversleeping using the programmable timer. It works with both the FM/AM tuner and CD player.

User Comments about the Panasonic SC-EN37 Micro System with iPod playback and recharge

You cant beat the size and features that come with this system, and the sound is awesome

All things considered, this unit performs well for the price and for use in my bedroom. Cool features. I really like the unit. Yessur. It's Giddidy-Giddidy-Goo. Speakers don't have the best weight and therefore the sound isn't as rich- EQ helps a little. Quagmire recommended.

We simply couldn't see the sense of trapping ourselves in the iPod only alleyway. Is it wrong to still want to play cds from time to time. The Panasonic Micro System is super compact and sleek; even the most ardent of techno-aesthetic lovers could appreciate the design. In the age of ever shrinking electronics, finding the right music system for your room is not only a challenge of size but of value and usability. My husband and I have hemmed and hawed for sometime before we finally decided to go with a stand alone system WITH an iPod attachment. True, the sound isn't the same as our surround-sound system downstairs, but I didn't expect that for $120.Overall, love this little system (especially the sleep mode) and would recommend it to those with three motivations in mind: economy, space and versatility.

Also the writeup on Amazon mentioned a cassette player, but the machine would not play cassettes. The other had terrible static. This was a gift for my 11-yr-old niece for Christmas. However, only one speaker worked. I returned it and hope to see the credit on my next credit card bill.

The manual could be clearer and the wires could be a bit longer, but this unit delivers great sound for its price. You don't need the manual if you're willing to try out different settings and approaches, but it would be useful.
