Once set up, it performs admirably. Takes a bit of time to set up. Great system for an attractive price.
Took a week to get it here with ups ground since it was coming from CA and I live in NJ. Can't wait till I start playing around with the settings and stuff.
soon as i got it, I plugged it and WOW. Straight out of the box, sounds NICE.
Just like the person before me, I was also looking for a home theater without a dvd player. I would definitely recommend this system.
Then I found this one with great reviews. So I bought it straight from Pioneer for less than $220 with shipping and tax.
For the price it's amazing.
Excellent system, the receiver has two HDMI inputs which is great, I have a SONY HD TV which also have two HDMI inputs so it works great with DVD and TV.Easy to set up, the speakers are small and cute and the sound is very overpowering.~ I installed the whole syhstem on the wall and bought the universal remote control(powerpack bundle)everything is hidden in the kitchen pantry and it works perfect.
Directions was simple for the 1st time user and helpful for advanced. Given this is not my 1st pioneer system, (I've owned a car stereo) I was overall pleased with this system. The nine (9) advanced surround effects are fun to play around with, and the easy setup is a nice feature in this unit. The unit for price and features can't be beaten. The system was very easy to set up. This a must have for low budget without the low quality.
I was surprised at the sound available with what I would consider small speakers. There are several settings to change the sound for movies or music, as well as being able to fine tune each individual speaker to get it perfect for your favorite seat. I considered several systems, but after reading the reviews on room sizes and sound quality I decided to give this one a try. Locating the sub woofer in a corner, or in my case a corner behind the couch made a big difference in sound quality. For the money I don't think you can go wrong with this one. Set up was easy and the sound quality is great.very crisp highs and bass is felt as well as heard. I'm glad I decided against the Sony and spent a few more dollars on a brand thats always done me right.
