I bought this three times (returned it 3 times as well) and the radio works BUT the CD player does not. Don't waste your time.
The sound quality is so tinny that it's actually painful to listen to - there is absolutely no bass response at all. The sound plays at almost the same frequency as running water, so when you're showering, the sound is drowned out by the sound of running water. My girls are always bringing the CD player into the bathroom when they shower, so I thought this would be an excellent alternative. It's certainly no good outside of a bathroom setting. This thing was used once in our house, and I wouldn't even give it away - it's that bad. Boy was I wrong. Save yourself the money.
The FM/AM radio stations do work but the CD player doesn't work. It comes in a piece of hard plastic that you have to destroy in order to get it out so the chances of returning it are slim. I bought this yesterday. I was really disappointed with this purchase, I usually don't have problems with CD players.
