Editorial Reviews:

Stiletto Receiver boom box portable audio system for Sirius satellite radio / For full use of the Sirius Stiletto, this boombox is the perfect accessory

User Comments about the Sirius Slbb1 Sirius Stiletto Boombox

I have noticed at times that there was a quiet hissing sound (for lack of a better description) when I'm picking the radio up via satellite as opposed to over my internet connection. I have not noticed it in a while, but I'm not sure if that's because I usually turn it up pretty loud so I can hear it throughout the house. I've had my boombox for almost two years and it's still working fine. I would not want a Stiletto without a place like this to dock it. I have the car kit, but I tend to keep the radio docked right in the boom box, because I listen to Sirius via the internet during the day. It has great sound quality and it's easy to use. I have been very satisfied with this product.

I had to return the Stiletto 2 and stay with my older, or buy all new which I wasn't about to do. I recently upgraded to a Stiletto 2 which was very nice, but as usual, it won't fit in this boombox or my home and auto docking station because they wqere for the narrower Stiletto 1. You would think Sirius would come out with an adapter. They would sell more Stiletto 2's that way

When I received the Stiletto Boombox, the speakers on the left side of the radio were blown and the sound wass horrible. I called several times and finally I was given my refund.

If you have a Stiletto1 do yourself a favor get the Slbb2 boombox for a couple extra bucks. THis is a nice boombox for the Stiletto, looks cool, sounds good and is very loud with good bass. You can use both the Stiletto1 and Stiletto2 with it, so when your SL1 kicks the bucket and they stop making it, you upgrade to the SL2 you can still use your boombox.

The boombox has shown signs that it can detect your faulty repair procedure and in turn will likely exhibit behavior consistent with that of a boombox that is no longer interested in "aquiring a signal". Therefore when UNPLUGGING the antenna from the unit, it is difficult to grab onto the metal part of the connector, leaving only the antenna wire itself to pull on. I've had mine since Sep 07. If you reach this point, it is already too late. This has proven not to be an acceptable method of removal for those of us with larger hands.

If for some crazy reason this should happen to you too, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT push the wire back into the connector(even if you have reason to believe that jamming the metal connector back on to the wire is an approved repair procedure). However.FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY OWN THE BOOMBOX, PLEASE NOTE:The design of the connector where the antenna plugs into the antenna jack on the back of the boombox defies modern day logic. This is an excellent home and portable (garage, yard, etc) unit. It is deeply recessed. Other features seem to be unaffected, but the antenna is now a display item only.

I love it. I hope this is helpful.
