He really loves it and his parents are very impressed with the ease of using this device. It is easy to charge and holds power for movies or playing games. I bought this for my 8 yr old grandson for Christmas. I highly recommend this product.

I needed a DVD player that would be inexpensive, of decent quality and play burned DVDs. Army deployed to Iraq. I'm really happy with my purchase of this item. I bought it to send to my wife who is in the U.S. Clearly I am not going to send my original DVDs to the desert.Pros -Great picture qualityPlays DVD -R/+RGreat speakersGood PriceGreat accessories included, comes with remote, headphones and car charging adaptor.Cons -None as of yetHands down of of the best electronic products I have purchased in the last year.

The dvd hangs once in a while but this is due to the rough handling. It takes car rides and shakes where well and the battery lasts for about 2 1/2 hours. We bought this dvd-player for my 3 year old son to keep him entertained for an 8 hour flight in spring of 2008. This is not a big deal since it comes with a car adapter for longer rides. For an airplane ride I find that my kid only has an attention span of 1 hour of a movie anyway and then goes to sleep or can be entertained otherwise. We got really good use out of it and even though my son handles it very rough it hasn't broken down yet. We take this portable dvd player everywhere with us and if it finally breaks down we will probably buy the same brand again.

I can't say enough about this player; small, light, beautiful picture, easy to adapt to your televions and EASY to make region free. This is how.I got this from Coby Tech Help: Without a DVD inserted, Open the DVD trayOn the remote, press Menu Type 8888 (you will just see asterics in the top left corner) Press Display You will see the region code Press 0 for code free Press Setup Done.

The sound did not work properly it was noisy and varied with the movement of the player screen. I purchased this as a Christmas present and unfortunately it was defective out of the box. I got this based on the good reviews, but will not get another one of this brand.
