But I did this time. I never thought I would get a defective product from Amazon. (and it already past the 30 day return period ) What a bad luck. When playing back after done recording, the unit would skip the sound every so often to a point that I want to throw it into the trash can.
If you do plan to keep all your lectures, I'd suggest something with more storage space and would allow you to transfer the files to computer. It is not necessarly good for fast use, and certainly a bit harder to use then the others I've seen.but I recommend this item if you are a high school student (if I were a college student.I'd get something a with more memory and playback quality since Professors do mostly is talk.). The Sony ICD-B300 IC Recorder is good for lectures I agree, but it doesn't have the good playback quality like the Olympus VN-240. This item is also good for recording notes to yourself or an employer.
No comment. Everything is OK.Regards,Cristian
I judge the performance, which could be excellent if not for the background noises. To the person who said it doesn't erase individual files it does. You have to hold the erase button on the file you want to erase the while the file is flashing press it again, presto its gone. This recorder is not made to capture your attention. So as far as design goes, I dont judge it. Because i'm not judging on style but for performance I give this recorder a 4/5.
This products works very well. I use it to record important lectures in a large room, and the quality is very good.
