User Comments about the iHome iH30W Boom Box for iPods with FM Radio (White)

Only negative is that it is advertised as White and it's GREY. Right size, etc. iHome iH30W Boom Box for iPods with FM Radio (White)Bought as a gift for my daughter. She loves it, works well. Go figure, the picture on the box is white.

Unfortunately they "improved" gen 2 so that it does not have this capability. Got in touch with the maker who said the OLD Generation 1 would work since the audio output would fit in the available shuffle port. Bottom line, I looked for days for a speaker system, thought I'd found one, and discovered it too would not work. iHome iH30W Boom Box for iPods with FM Radio (White)I bought this for my granddaughter to use with her shuffle. We could not find a way for it to work except having a cord connecting the box and the shuffle which looked sloppy. Attractive item and good with regular Ipod. The description stated it would work with shuffle. Now do we have to buy her an Ipod to go with it.1

Was expecting to have to remover ipod to change track, very convenient and easy to use. Sound quality is great. Just wish the remote was included.

I recommend these to everybody. Sounds decent at reasonable volume levels, it's very durable, and straight-forward to use. I've used a lot of ipod boomboxes and there are obviously better ones out there, but the next step in quality is going to come at a much higher price point. If you are looking for decent sound from a durable boombox, for around under $100 (hell, I grabbed one for $40), this cannot be beat. They will be more than capable for 90% of listeners out there.

That aside, the sound quality is OK. There are many other ipod players to choose from that are similar prices to this one.

The volume goes up plenty loud, but if you are really into music you will probably not like the mediocre level of sound quality. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this product two different times. Don't risk frying your ipod.

The first time it was missing the AC adapter, so I returned it and swapped it for a new one at a store. This new one would not charge my ipod--instead it produced this burning smell, which made it seem like it was frazzling my ipod.

It would be very costly to replace.
