It's a simple thing this cable has todo (transfer a digital modulated signal from computer to TV) and it does it great. There are no levels of quality here, since it's a digital signal, we're talking about either it works or fail. And in this case it works.
Beware of the 4 or 5 variations of DVI/HDMI cables. Many look alike at first glance but may be incompatible. This adapter is just what is needed to connect standard HDMI/ DVI-I digital cable to the DVI-D connector used on many flat panel monitors. I hooked it up to my 73" Mitsubishi DLP HDTV and Voila, nice HiDef Mac desktop on my TV. No more sitting at the computer desk looking at a small screen. I paid just under 3 bucks for the cable and it works as advertised. So, forget those overpriced cables and do like I did. I'm not one to buy those overpriced cables, so when I needed a DVI to HDMI cable for my new Mac Mini I bought this one. Just as good as the high dollar ones. Great quality for a small price.
When I put this in place I started getting an error on my TV saying that it did not accept HDMI over DVI or something of that sort. I bought this cable to replace an oversived HDMI to DVI adapter I was using. So, DVI cable + DVI to HDMI adapter works and this cable doesn't.
