I was surprised to find out how large the bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth were. The towels ended up soft and fluffy after a good laundering. I ordered two sets of white towels for the holidays. The family loves them, and has asked where to get more.
The soft cotton in these towels feels wonderful on your body as it quickly absorbs moisture. Though they are thick and luxurious, they dry quickly. The towels are really soft and absorbent but they shed like crazy. I've only washed them once so I'll just have to see how they hold up after a few more washes.
After only the first washing, the binding/seam on one side of 2 towelsis already coming apart -- thread is coming out and seam is shredded.also, inside decorative hem is shredded in a couple of spots on one of the towels. Purchased Pike St 100% Egyptian cotton towel setPour Quality.
Color matched what was pictured perfectly, and they all survived the first wash no problem. I give the Cocoa 5 stars, but the Harvest only 4. Definitely not worth returning, and I'm still very happy with them. The color on the Harvest is not exactly what was pictured - it's a much deeper golden shade. I haven't had any issues with color fading in the wash, and a couple of them have even done "emergency clean-up duty" from accidents in the kitchen.
The Cocoa towels I received didn't exhibit either of these issues. More importantly. But it does mean the Harvest set doesn't quite merit the full 5 stars. They all feel soft and are plenty absorbent. In fact, all of them (both colors) have since been washed several times with no further issues.
I'd return it, but I'm a guy - I don't really use the hand towels so much anyway (I bought the set primarily for the bath towels and wash cloths) and even if I did, I'd probably just fold them so the edges didn't show. I bought two sets of these towels, one in Harvest and one in Cocoa. on the first wash, the stitching on one of the hand towels came loose on one side, leaving me with a slightly unravelling hand towel. No staining, did their job, no problems. I actually like it a lot better than what was pictured, but it's something to be aware of.
And they came at a pretty unbeatable price - I can't get this many towels this nice at any of the local "super stores" for this price.
