Editorial Reviews:

Are you still charging your iPod from desktop or laptops? But now you can charge your iPod from power outlet with this charger adapter. Simply plug in your iPod USB cable with this adapter and start charging. Also an Intelligent IC chip inside recognizes a fully charged battery and automatically switches to a saver mode to prevent overcharging and short circuit.

User Comments about the White USB Wall AC Charger for Zune/Sansa/Zen/iPod

Even when used on a completely dead iPod there was not over heating. It gets a little warm but not more than you'd expect. Did not have any problems with this charger. This was using original iPod cable and 4th gen iPod Nano.

Charges your USBs via a wall plug. Not much more to say other than it works.

It's not like I'm doing something wrong. plug the item in the wall, plug the ipod in the charger. nothing. Is there a zero rating. I'm very disappointed. tried several outlets.

I plugged it in and began charging my iPod and within 30 seconds I heard a 'pop' followed by an electrical burning smell. I shouldn't have expected something this inexpensive to really work.

This makes the product rather awkward to pack and always poses the risk of bending/breaking due to the design. Ultimately, is it really worth $20 for a quality charger when you can have this for next to nothing. Obviously this is an inexpensive product that demonstrates "you get what you pay for." It works, my Ipod charges no problem, but the prongs aren't retractable. I'm happy with my decision.
