It happened on both that I ordered, but not for several months. It broke right next to the rubber part where the cable meets the plug. I have bought two of these, both worked and never stopped working. The problem I had with them was the cable broke inside from being bent back and forth too much. The charger is almost identical to the one that came with my phone.
Thought my 3 year old cell phone was on its last leg. However, for less than $5 I solved the problem.
i had read that it was only charging when the lights were on. i plugged it in and the display lights came on briefly then it went blank. i left it plugged in and to my amazement, it did indeed charge the mp3 player that i had. i got it to charge my 2GB sanza clip. when i received this product i was unsure if it would work. after 10 hours of charging, it was fully charged. i had previously used the usb connection from my computer, but it took too long to fully charge. you can't beat the charger for value.
I'm just throwing it away. Waste of time and money. Doesn't work not worth returning. Spend a little more money and get on that works.
I'm a dee dee dee for buying this again. This is the second one that went down in two weeks. Somebody needs to tell the slave labor in China to stop making JUNK.
