I constantly dropped this thing or my niece would and it didn't break I finally upgraded to an mp3 player and gave it away It worked great while I had it never had any trouble
It does eat batteries pretty quick but it gets the job done. If you want to listen to MP3s, espically podcasts, I would say buy a GPX MP3 player from Kmart. I only used this a few weeks until I purchased another cheap MP3 player. You don't have to burn a MP3 CD you'll only use once, and it takes less batteries.
Within 2 weeks the top to this player will not stay shut, so much for the anti-skip feature, the top won't stay shut. I purchased this for my son along with a cassette adapter, for his vehicle. I wish I had purchased this from a local store, so that I could have easily taken it back (without shipping charges)
I got two of these for my kids they work great they are easy for a 7 year old and even thethree year old can change the cd and find his selection on a cd.the sound was reat for a unit in this price point. If you are looking for a gift fora child you can't go wrong with this one.
There is no warning that the batteries are running low. The CD skips at the least jostle (not even running). The CD just stops. This is a terrible product. To disconnect the batteries, you must use a knife since they don't come out with just fingers. When you turn the CD off, it will not resume at the same place if it is off for more than a few minutes, but goes back to the beginning. When you turn off the CD, you must disconnect the batteries or they run out. AWFUL.
