User Comments about the Coby CX-96 All Weather Sport PLL AM/FM Radio with Arm Band

First the ear buds stopped working, then the whole radio stopped working. I was looking for a less expensive radio to pick up AM channels for sporting events and what I ended up with is a very poor product. It was not worth the box it arrived in.

We bought this for our GYM time but this has got a really bad reception and sound qaulity. Not recommended.

The volume control, on/off button (as well as all other controls) completely failed to function. When I took it to the gym, it broke after the first twenty minutes. I had to remove the batteries in order to turn it off. I don't often complain, but this Coby radio did not work in two ways and had to be pitched after the first session in the gym. I had to duct tape the band together since the velco closure had the sticky and smooth sides oriented incorrectly. Since I paid only $16 for this piece of junk, it was not worth the effort and time return it. First, the velco armband was sewn together incorrectly with the velco on backwards so that the elastic band would not stay on my arm. Look elsewhere for a workout radio.

I use it all the time. This is a great little inexpensive radio. The strap it came with is not designed very well though.

The buttons will stop working and then suddenly work again (as if the wiring was loose). The radio works fine and reception is good but generally unreliable. Not worth the money since it is too unreliable.
