Of course, I wanted good sound. I was willing to pay up to $200. I looked everywhere for a nice, conservative-looking bookshelf stereo for my office. This unit delivered everything for considerably less. Everything else I found that was close either looked like the front end of an Edsel or would only play CDs. In addition to appearance, I wanted to be able to play both cassettes and CDs as well as radio. This unit looks great, sounds great, plays even my old cassettes, and the price was a very pleasant surprise.
