I bought it for pet hair and it works wonderfully. I recommend it. It's great. It's a wonderful product. A lot of suction power. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that after a few minutes of usage it gets a little heavy.
The belt drive brushes ensure proper cleaning. The suction on this product is top notch as well. Bought this vacuum solely for cleaning the stairs. My only complaint would be that it is a little heavy for one handed use. That is a fair trade-off for a powerfull motor and a study body. It has great features with the tilt up brush screen for cleaning both the treads and the risers. I highly recommend this product.
This littl vac is perfect for carpeted steps. It does the job quickly, isn't too heavy and easily stored.
Wish I could give you a review of how it works but the darn thing shorted out after about two seconds. That's right- I read the instructions, plugged it in and switched it on.A loud whirring noise followed by a bright flash from inside the yellow case and a puff of smoke. Two seconds of fireworks, no seconds of vacuuming. I chose the Eureka 71B over the new model of the Royal Dirt Devil based on the glowing reviews here. I'm not taking a chance on a second sample either-even though I purchased an extra filter that will cost me a re-stocking fee and return postage to the vendor.
The Eureka is waaaay better--it doesn't overheat and is extremely quiet(even the cat doesn't get scared anymore), and the dust cup is pretty easy to empty(I'm not a huge fan of the cup, but its eco-friendly I guess). We had purchased a Shark vacuum from our local store and ended up having to send it back to the company because it would overheat and turn off about every 3 minutes and would shoot dust out the back.it was such a pain. Anyway.great vacuum.
