The connection to antenna seem to get loose over time and loose reception. This was replace old 5 yr old cradle that just wore out. Was such a good price I bought 3 - hope my Skyfi2 lasts that long.
Plug and play. That worked great in my caravan. Similar to the skyfi. The kit comes with an adaptor that allows you to mount the radio to a vent. Now I just take the radio with me in which ever vehicle I'm driving.
It works just fine in the city of Seattle area. Lastly, it's kind of hard to hide for antitheft purposes and the vent mount system allows it to slip a bit.
Also, using the cassette deck adaptor, be sure to use the control on the separate receiver module to reduce the output (it's in the XM menu) else it overpowers the cassette function very easily. I've got it on one bar, would like to go lower.
I bought this for traveling in a rural NW Washington area (Kitsap peninsula). But fine for occasional use like a road trip.
The kit isn't very expensive and so there is good value here. Some caveats - trees and mountains do interfere with signal.
I'd buy it again for that sort of purpose.
Delphi SA10102 SKYFi2 Vehicle Adapter KitKit works good but it would be better if it was hard wired to FM.
No need to use cassette, since the cradle has a built in FM modulator. Great wireless XM car adaptor. The quality of sound through the car stereo is awesome, and when traveling, there is no need to change channels on the radio.
