To my ears, the digital copies are very accurate It's very easy to use, and is an external device-a big plus in my opinion. I don't use the bundled software to edit the file that's created by recording, though-my Sony program does that task well. Well worth the [.]. I've had my instant Music soundcard for over a year and never had a problem. In my experience, it records LPs and tapes without a hitch. bucks.
The Nero software will not run on Windows Vista.2. The Nero software included on the CD-ROM is an old version (v6). 1. After I downloaded version 8 from the Nero website, I was unable to install it because my v6 serial number was deemed "invalid".I will be returning this item to Amazon ASAP.
The new recordings are better than the originals. The software does a fine job of cleaning up the scratches, clicks, hum, etc. I have made cd's from old cassettes and LP's and have had excellent results. You will need a little better than average computer and computer skills but the finished product is fantastic.
I had no issues with the software. Maybe they improved it. I read several reviews before I purchased this product with a common theme being the software being an issue. But it's very easy to use and I'm happy with my purchase.
However, as the website confirms and as I learned after opening the package (and making it unreturnable), it does not work with a Mac. They have no intention of ever making it work with the Mac.Don't waste your money, unless you have a PC.I tried to give it a no-star rating, but it wouldn't accept the review without at least one star. This product is advertised by Amazon as being for both PC and Mac, and it has a Mac logo on the packaging. It was easy to use.
