It however is NOT recognized as valid media on two of my stand alone DVD players. Very weird. I have had terribly frustrating compatibility issues with this Lens cleaner. I have had the Discwasher products BEFORE RCA took them over. They worked fine. It worked on my PC drive. Now that RCA has their hand in it, Some players have it work, some it does not.If one goes to the RCA site, you will find that there is virtually NO support for the Discwasher products, so that I have no place see about a fix.I would recommend a pre-RCA Discwasher cleaner or a different brand of lens cleaner.Jon
My thoughts were that my DVD player was dying a slow death. At any rate, I went through all of the tests and it underwent a dry cleaning and like magic it has fixed all of my problems and it's like having g a brand new DVD player.
As a last ditch effort, thanks to a recommendation from a friend, I tried DISC-WASHER RD-1146 6-BRUSH Dry CD/DVD Laser Lens Cleaner to see if it could possibly solve my problems. Well, after opening the jewel case, judging by the looks of the product,I was truly disappointed as to how this would fix my player.
My problem was on my imac computer. If you have these same problems, buy this product.
Whenever I would insert a DVD to play it would spin continuously until it was rejected. I could not copy any of my DVDs either.
It's inexpensive but what's more, it truly works.
Even has a Dolby test. Well worth the money and you will be more than pleased with it. I used it on both my PC CD and CDRW drives as well as my stereo CD player. Outstanding cleaner for your CD or CDRW, MP3 player. Takes you through many diagnostic tests. Fantastic product.
