User Comments about the Kensington FM Transmitter/Auto Charger for iPod (White)

I have had 2 other people purchase them since I got mine and they feel the same way. I mean, you will get some, but its really not a bother.tends to be in certain areas with a lot of towers or transmitters around. Stop shopping and buy this one.

We live in a fairly rural area, but travel a lot in a very busy metro area and get very little interference. I rarely rave about a produce, but after 6 mos of use we are very pleased with the results. Must say this was one of the best Christmas presents that came out of Santa's bag this year.

Very little static. I researched a lot of these transmitters before I purchased one and this one really works. I use it on one setting in my vehicle and the other vehicle uses it on another radio station and both are fantastic.

Definitely the right price for what you get.

With one click, you can go from 88.3 to 107.3. It is easy to find your channel because the design of the frequency switches. I have enjoyed this FM transmitter for eleven months. I like the fact all the controls are right in the base to the lighter. This has been a great addition to my IPod.

I live in a rural area with plenty of un-used frequencies and should have had no problem with the signal. It is a cheap piece of junk and I would never recommend it to anyone. No reception on any of the available frequencies. I would give it a zero star rating, but it wasn't an option.

This works very well for me.there is a slight hiss at high volume, but turn it down just a notch and it sounds fine. I didn't have a hard time finding a station at all. First of all, I am NOT an audiophile.I just run a stock stereo in my car, nothing fancy. Overall, it was well worth the money I spent on it.

In the end I tossed the others and bought this one again. I would have bought a new one immediately but couldn't find this model in any of the local stores so I tried out several others and they just didn't compare. My husband just bought himself an iPod and I'm getting him one of these transmitters. I got this charger/transmitter as a present and I love it. I did wear this out after only one year of use. We're very happy with this one. I honestly feel like I "can't live without it." The signal strength is great, it charges the iPod while it transmits, and it only costs slightly more than a transmitter that doesn't charge. Pros:Charges AND transmits - my iPod battery is NEVER low.Easy to switch from car to car - great when you have a car rentalgood signal strength - expiremented and husband got clear signal 3-5 car lengths ahead of mecost - not much more expensive than a transmitter w/out chargerdoesn't require batteries, plugs into the cigarette adapter insteadturns off when you turn off your car The cord length is fairly long, allowing a nice radius for you to place your iPodCons: Wore my first one out after about a yeariPod turns off when engine shuts down so every time you restart the car you have to restart your iPod, not a big deal unless you're sitting around waiting for someone and you turn the engine on and off while you're waiting - even then it's a small inconvenienceIt's not easy to switch the frequency while drivingOnly 8 frequencies to choose from (although that has never actually been a problem for me, it could be for you)Other:Tried several different kinds - this def the best, better signal than any other I have triedEven after the transmitter wore out the charger still worked
