I will be ordering 2 more for true HD 7.1 capabilities in the very near future. I just finished setting them up and watched The Dark Knight. What a fabulous set of speakers - mid range is bold, high's sparkle, and the sub is a very tight slam. This is the perfect set for my Sony STR-DG920 Receiver and BDPS-550 Blu-Ray Disc Player. If your receiver has a setup option capability, try option #2 - which allows the LFE Low Frequency Effects to be controlled by the receiver's low pass LFE channel with crossover adjustment at 120 hz.
just make sure you have a receiver that can handle that beefy sub. This is the perfect surround sound set up. If you don't the sub is so powerful it'll pull too much power and in turn shut down your receiver.
He sent me a link to these as I was looking around amazon and other places, and told me that if I did not get these I would be missing out.That was an understatement. These speakers are 100% crystal clear with 0 distortion and can go extremely loud. My room is probably 20x25 and the speakers completely fill it with perfect sound quality.When I first picked up the speakers out of the box, I was amazed at the quality they felt like. So, I ordered these speakers as an impulse buy, and am 110% satisfied with them. My roommate is a speaker/music junkie and his speakers are about 400$ a piece. They don't seem cheap at all, because they have so much substance.I recommend these speakers to any new-comer in to this category, or to anyone at all because they are absolutely amazing.
I've turned them up as loud as I can tolerate and there is still NO distortion in the sound. Not only that, but the sub freakin' kicks. I just wanted to echo the unanimously positive reviews on these speakers. While watching "The Mist" on DVD, I had to turn it down to about 1/3 of full power because anything more than that was flat-out overpowering during the frequent drawn-out bass notes.Once you factor in Amazon's ridiculously good price ($200 as of this posting), this set has to be the best value in the market today.I read the glowing reviews on here and purchased this system without having ever given it a listen. I've had the system about 2 months now and I honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase. Unless you want to host a rock concert in your living room, these speakers are capable of everything you could ask of them.I have them hooked up through a Harman Kardon AVR 245 receiver. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
Not a hugh deal but wasnt expecting it. The only down side was I purchased the Titanium speakers, the sub was black. I shopped around for a while and found the best price here on amazon. The speakers them selfs are great. I have put over 200 watts through these things and the sound and bass have been great.
