I have no real problems with the clock itself and its functionality but the light is much too bright. Makes me not want to sleep facing it and this is on the low setting.
the only thing I expected it to have a digital tuner, thogh reception is great.
At night, the digital time is displayed in amber numbers which are just the right size. In the daytime, the time is displayed with the same numbers, but the front surface of the clock is reflective. The controls for the radio and alarm are all around the top and the sides of the clock, and can't be seen at first glance. I'm very glad that I purchased this clock/radio, mainly because of it's attractive design. It looks great both in the dark and in the daytime. The clock has an elegance which would compliment most decors.
I have not used the radio or alarm. this unit looks nice and is keeping good time compared to my atomic clock. FYI, the depth at the base of the unit is more than the listed 1 inch - also the display is Amber, not green as the Amazon picture looks.
I tested the unit to be sure. HOWEVER - Read the battery door cover, the instructions, and you'll find the battery is for the clock memory only. NO ALARM AT ALL WITH POWER FAILURE. I'd say the most basic feature in an alarm clock should be that it will still sound an alarm even if the power is out. It says it has such a feature on the box, in the Amazon description, and in the customer reviews. Sure the alarm will sound as soon as the power is restored but who knows when that will be. That battery back-up feature is why I bought this clock. Too me, that renders the clock worthless.
