User Comments about the Sherwood RX-4105 Stereo Receiver

The audio quality is worse than any receiver I have ever heard. Not even close.Save your money, and spend $150-$200 for a decent 100 watt receiver.

Comparable with a boom box in quality. There is also no way that these put out anything close to 105 watts per channel.

Don't be Dont be deceived by the good looks of this receiver and the Sherwood name. Common sense dictates that you aren't going to get much for $89.00,and this Sherwood receiver proves it.

These are garbage, and not even worth their $89.00 price. I know of 2 other poeple that have purchased these, and have had the same experience with them that I have.

A pretty $89.00 box with bad sound.

I would not suggest pushing this amplifer toward the 100W rating because it does not any large heat sinks to provide for cooling. The buttons on it get stuck if you are not careful about pressing them.

It does have (stereo)inputs for TV/VCR, CD, a tape player/recorder. It also has a full feature remote but I find it awkward to use.

If you are looking for a solid low end stereo unit than this is just fine. Once they get stuck the unit seems to have a mind of it's own (till un-stuck).

It is not full of useless features. The AM/FM section works well and it has plenty of pre-sets (to fill).

As long as your looking for just a minimum stereo reciever then you will not be disapointed.

Working like a charm. Read others' complaints, but don't have any of my own. OB.

Cranked it up half-way and it was plenty loud. Remote control is simple and easy to use. If you're looking for a basic two-channel receiver to listen to the radio, CD's, cassettes, and to hook up your television to, this is it. One drawback, though. It does not have phono inputs for a turntable. This unit provides plenty of clarity and power at all volume levels. Other than that, it more than meets my needs.

The first one would pick up no FM and very weak AM. I bought it to replace a unit that I have had since 1970 and it started to go bad. Yes antennaswere connected, Amazon sent another (great service) it worked the same way.Returned it gave up on them.
