Editorial Reviews:

Designed for iPod! The Belkin Voice Recorder lets your iPod double as a personal recorder. Now you can record memos, lectures, interviews, or conversations - simply by plugging in to your iPod. The iPod's abundant storage capacity lets you store hundreds of hours of high-quality audio. You can easily review your audio notes using the built-in speaker, your earbud headphones, or your computer. You can also copy recordings to your desktop or notebook computer for storage, editing, or sending to others via e-mail. Your Voice Recorder also works as a travel alarm clock.

User Comments about the Belkin Voice Recorder for iPod (White)

It was noisy compared to using this unit with my iPod. The unit allowed me to record 4 hours of lecture non stop and still have half of battery power left. I've tried using one of the dedicated digital voice recorders ($40 Memorex model). I'd highly recommend this unit.

When speaking quietly, it comes out quiet in the recording, but I was still able to hear everything. One quirk that is important to note is that the recorder picks up the sound of the iPod hard drive also. So, at regular intervals, you'll hear a click and the sound of the hard drive spinning up. I've used this device in an interview setting and it picked up both people pretty well. It is a bit distracting, which is why I can't give this a 5-star rating, but I was still able to hear what I intended to record.

Only sometimes when the professor is speaking in a very low voice does it falter. And i works just fine. I have a colour iPdod the one without the videos. I bought this to record lectures in class. Otherwise perfect for the job.

At the end i had the feeling it did but it does not. I am now stuck with something I cannot use because it was not clearly indicated. I spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out if this worked for a 2 GB Ipod as it was not very clear. I am not the first one apparently so I wonder why Amazon keeps not informating clearly its customers and I am quite unpleased with Amazon and Belkin :( as they don't seem inclined to do anything to compensate my loss and their lack of useful information.PS: the rate this item system should include a not recommended at all

student who needed a way to record interviews for qualitative research. Not only does the product work efficiently, it is small and easy to use. I am not a fan of having to read directions - with my iPod, this was simple and made my transibing much easier with the help of placing the interview into iTunes and playing it with software that allowed me to play back the interview with varying speed. This is a fabulous product for digital recording. I am a Ph.D. High recommendations for this product.
