Editorial Reviews:

With TV and weather band functionality, it functions really well at the gym. Strap it to your arm, or clip it to your hip and you can lift to the music. Stretch to the weather. Or run to the TV. Hey, it's flexible just like you, right? Was that grunt a yes?

User Comments about the Virgin Pulse AM/FM Stereo Tuner with Weather and TV Band - VP03

On the low end, this has only one competitor - the Coby CX-9. Sangean, Aiwa and Sony are bigger/more expensive. My requirements are: digital tuning, AM/FM, 5 presets, hold button.Pulse advantages:has slightly better AM receptionmuch better FM receptionTV bandSleepVolume dial works better, it is active during hold, protected well to prevent accidental operationHold button works better, easy to findbattery door seems more durable, Coby never lasts through 1 dropRandom access presets are a plusCoby advantages:Display digits largertwice as many presetsCan remember presets through QUICK battery changesReception is the key; the Pulse is the winner for me. I use personal radios OFTEN - gym, baseball games, shopping, around house. I go through about 3 a year due to breakage, loss, water damage. Battery life not important, I use rechargeables.

If you wanted an i-pod, go spend 20x what this costs and shut up already. So if you lose it, you won't 'lose it.'.your mind, that is. But if you're looking for an inexpensive gym radio, this is the one.

Anyway, it works as advertised, the price is right, it looks good, so what are people complain' about. Inexpensive, not cheap. Got this for my wife for Christmas, it was a good deal, and she really enjoys it.

Or maybe you've left your ipod on the treadmill, by the water fountain, or outside the showers, and 'bye-bye $200+ bucks.'. It works great for the money.very lightweight and been dropped several times and keeps working perfectly.sturdy. The best/ big thing.if you're ever at a gym, you know stuff gets stolen from lockers, gym bags, etc.

And it looks cool to boot.

That's pretty standard stuff though. As for batteries, it states right on the package it lasts 20 hours, so I use rechargables. Nice belt clip or armband, adjustable, stays in place. Well, I for one like this unit and haven't had any problems with the quality or reception. But anyway, I loved the look, the white i-pod finish, and it's very easy to operate, no complicated stuff to figure out. Hey, the price is right, and it's by Virgin. I live in Florida, it's flat, so. Try it.

I found this product well worth the price, excellent reception, and portability.

Neat idea, very handy and small enough to put in your pocket, but it had NO RECEPTION, and it broke after I used it like 3 times. I returned it for a new one and it broke 1 week later. I received this as a christmas gift. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
