i bought this for her so she could record the teacher even from far away. the audio quality of her recordings is better with it. my sister uses her olympus audio recorder at school for recording lectures. now she thanks me for buying this for her.
No odd swishing or weird "extras" like delays or echos. The audio files are right and tight. Works very well picks up everything I need it to. No caveats. I start the recorder and leave it on the desk as I lecture and wander around the front of the room.Sounds great, works well
Buyer beware, you get what you pay for. I'd recommend spending twice the money for something else. Small mic + small price = small quality. I'm not even sure this mic improved my sound quality at all.
So in order for the person to hear me I have to cock my laptop to the side. For proper use, the sound must be directed into the TOP of the mic. I bought this to add a microphone to my laptop (for Skype). It works fine, I have a input jack on the right of my laptop. It would be much nicer if the angle of the head was adjustable so I sit directly in front of my laptop and people hear me.
This one is to "cancel external noise," however, the mic is sensitive enough that it picks up the hissing (sort of like low static) of the little recorder it sits on. I purchased this mic and simultaneously an Olympus lapel mic. I wish it had a cord it could mount onto the end of.
