User Comments about the Memorex CD/DVD Slim Jewel Cases (Assorted Colors, 25-Pack)

Great price, but I'm tired of the size and shape.I prefer small, round, thin.

They are made of the same type of plastic in which commercial CDs are packaged. Not one of mine has ever broken, but you DO need to open them correctly so as not to destroy them (I can't imagine any other way one would break unless you stepped on it, bent one severely, or beat one to death). I love these cases. The colors are nice, the see-through feature is helpful, they keep my DVDs and CDs clean and are great for mailing, also. I always prefer to buy this exact type and brand of case.

Granted, I do not go throwing them around or anything. They snap closed, stay closed and are fairly sturdy. But I love these cases. I have had no problems with them yet. But for organizing things and keeping the dust off, these cases do a good enough job for me.

No problems, even with the cats occasionally knocking them around and walking on them. 1) I've never had one crack. I've used these (and similar) cases for years. 2) They hold the disc securely, but not with so much force that you risk damaging the disc when removing it.3) As long as you open them properly - from the front (clear) side by pulling near the corner(s) while holding the back (colored) side - they open fine.

I wasn't using excessive force, in fact most people call me gentle. It happened to 3 cases out of the 12 I have used already. Sure, these colorful jewel cases are pretty to look at but I give their functionality an F. As soon as I opened one of these cases to put a CD in it, the case broke. Buy at your own risk and HANDLE WITH CARE.
