Unfortunately, these speakers are not manufactured anymore by JBL. The lows and mids are excellent and the high's are good. I've had these speakers since 2003, and I have been very pleased with them. One thing lacking is a subwoofer in the package, but that's no big deal - add one on your own.Strongly recommended if you can find them :)
I have researched for months and the NSP1 definitely has the best value at the $. The mid range is where this system really shines, saxophone sounds just like somebody is playing at your sound stage. However, after a little tweaking on just the sound level from each speaker, I was able to get superb quality sound from the JBL NSP1 II speaker system. range, even $.I'd say. The N24s sounds great with male and female vocal.
The tweeters were very well made.This is a great setup for all beginners. While the bass is not thunderous, it is very respectable coming from a $. Just got these babies this week, it sounded great before I calibrated the whole system. system. It is comparable, or even better than the Energy Take 5.1.
The flow of sound is seamless, you can test it with SW Eps 1, pot race chapter, as well as in LOTR, special extended version. I'd recommend this to everyone.
