WE ATTEND A BIBLE STUDY AND MY HUSBAND WOULD TRY TO WRITE D0WN WHAT WAS BEING SAID AND IT WAS HARD TO WRITE AND CONCENTRATE ON OUR TEACHER. WE SAT AROUND A TABLE AT A RESTAURANT EVERY WEDNESDAY AND PUT THE RECORDER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TABLE AND WE COULD HEAR HIM REALLY WELL EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS ALOT OF BACKGROUND NOISE. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT LITTLE RECORDER FOR JUST WHAT WE NEEDED. HIS VOICE COMES THROUGH VERY CLEARLY AND HE DOESN'T HAVE TO TALK LOUD. IT IS SO WONDERFUL TO COME HOME AND BE ABLE TO REVIEW EVERYTHING THAT WAS SAID.THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PRODUCT. WHEN I SAW THE PICTURE OF THE SONY RECORDER IT LOOKED JUST LIKE THE GOOD OLD RELIABLE ONES WE USED TO HAVE 20 OR 30 YEARS AGO AND I DIDN'T THINK I COULD FIND ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN THE STORES, SO I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. This sony player is perfect, fits the bill. I know the quality is not as good as a CD but I still have them. I wanted something easy to operate, portable and reliable. I still have a lot of cassette tapes I like to listen to. I recommend it.
I have a bunch of older tapes I wanted to hear and this is just the ticket. One thing, I wish they would have made the buttons EASIER to see and read.The buttons all look the same., so be careful. I accidently hit both play and record buttons at the same time and erased a portion of a tape. This a great little player/ recorder. Good sound. Bummer.
Since getting rid of my rarely used tape deck I needed to have something that I could use to occasionally play cassette tapes. This fits the bill perfectly.
It came a few days later than the one established. One of the questions I was asked was if I had received the recorder during the period specified by Amazon. It is my recollection that I already submitted a review. I gave it 4 stars. It is a minor quibble and I am otherwise satisfied with the product.
