User Comments about the Maxell CD/CD-ROM Scratch Repair Kit

a lot of times, the sound was just gone.Though this doesn't really make the product good as new, it makes it at least more playable. Keep in mind, though.

I can finally hear the voices in Mega Man Legends. So I'm pretty pleased with that.

I don't know about all the people who've given this one star, it's pretty decent. some parts are a little iffy, but I'm planning on repeating the process and see if anything else improves.

I have some ridiculously old, scratched-up PS1 games and I don't really have the money to buy them all over again. A lot of the cutscenes in the games would skip, freeze entirely.

So far, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

way over 20 to.but eh. took them offit you want to repair small scratches get it.i would'nt give it 1 star like everyone elseits really not that bad.plus its actually pretty cheap.if your looking for a deep scratch remover yeah your gonna be paying way over 10 bucks. okay. this thing is really not that bad.i used it on a few.with big scratches did nothingdid it on a few discs with a bunch of small scratches. think about this purchase before

Place a couple drops of #1 abrasive on the disk and immediately start wiping with some pressure radially outward (you don't have to wait 5 minutes). If it doesn't work, repeat all the above until it does. Keep working your way around the disk until the solution is dry (about 5 minutes). This really does work, but it can take some elbow grease and repeated tries depending on the severity of the scratches. Spray once with #2, and using a clean TISSUE, continue wiping VERY GENTLY radially outward until #2 dries. Try the disk. Been using this stuff for a couple years.

Find a flat surface, lay a bundle of tissue on it, place the disk scratched face up. Works great for me. I use it different than the instruction. I've had a LOT of scratched disks, and I haven't found one yet that I couldn't fix with this.

i saved hundreds of dollars on all my scratched cd's by using this product.

First and foremost: IT DOES NOT WORK. How can they get away with selling this stuff. Secondly, it can make your disc WORSE.Look elsewhere - do NOT buy this junk.
